Coach · AI
The AI fitness app with a coach that reads your last 30 days.
Made in the UK by Bolt Business Limited, company number 16864050 · No ads, no trackers
Health AI is an AI fitness app for iPhone. Its coach reads the food, workouts and runs you have logged over the last 30 days, so you can ask what to eat tonight or what to lift next and get an answer about your own numbers. It isn't a doctor or a dietitian, and it says so.

What it reads
What does the AI coach know about you?
Your last 30 days in the app: targets, body details, each day's calories and macros, the foods you log most, weigh-ins, workouts, routines, how often you logged water, and runs and walks. If you allow it, it also gets a week of steps and energy burned and two weeks of sleep from Apple Health. Never your heart rate or routes.
What goes with each question, and what never does
| From your logs | What the coach gets |
|---|---|
| Targets and body | Your calorie and macro targets, split, goal, height, weight, sex and age. |
| Food | Each day's calories, protein, carbs and fat, the 15 foods you log most, and each day's totals of food planned for the next 14 days. |
| Weight | Your weigh-ins, and what Trends has measured you burn. |
| Workouts | For each workout, how many working sets of each exercise and the heaviest one, and your saved routines. |
| Water | Your water goal, and on how many of the last 30 days you logged water. |
| Runs and walks | Distance, time, pace (and speed on a walk), climb and steps, for ones recorded in Health AI rather than brought in from Apple Health. |
| Apple Health, if you allow it | Steps and energy burned for the last 7 days, and 14 nights of sleep. |
| Never | Heart rate, the routes of your runs, your name or your email. |
Until you have logged food on 30 of the last 31 days, it is told not to draw conclusions about trends, and to say a month is needed if you ask about one. The summary is built on your phone each time you ask.
Who writes the answers, and what is kept
Your questions stay yours.
Not told who you are
Anthropic writes the answers, and Google's Gemini when Anthropic is unavailable. Neither is told your name or email, and neither may train its models on what is sent.
The chat stays on your phone
Up to 200 messages are kept on your phone. Our server keeps each reply for about an hour, so if your signal drops and the app asks again, the same answer comes back without using another message. Replies older than that are removed the next time the coach or scanner is used. The server keeps your question only if you report the answer.
Yours to switch off
Settings → Coach and scanner turns both off, or keeps Apple Health out of the coach. Logging keeps working either way.
Is an AI fitness coach safe to use?
Treat it as general fitness and nutrition guidance, not medical advice: an AI can be confidently wrong, so check anything that matters. Health AI's coach is told never to invent a number about you, to send questions about a condition or medication to a professional, and to give UK helplines to anyone who says they are not okay.
The answers it is told to give, however the question is asked
| If you ask about | It is told to |
|---|---|
| A figure about you | Use only what the app sends it, and say when it doesn't have one. |
| A diagnosed condition or medication | Point you to a professional, briefly. |
| Being pregnant, or trying to be | Suggest no calorie deficit: Maintain as your goal, and your midwife or GP. |
| Fat burners, steroids, SARMs, laxatives or diuretics | Say they aren't safe, and offer what does work. |
| Weight-loss injections such as Mounjaro | Give no doses or sources, but help with food and training around them. |
| Being under 18 | Give no weight-loss advice or calorie target, and suggest your GP, and Childline on 0800 1111. |
| The fewest calories you can eat | Give no number: there is no safe minimum to aim for. |
| Chest pain, a racing heart that won't settle, or struggling to breathe during or after exercise | Tell you to stop and call 999 now, or 111 if it has passed. |
| Fainting while exercising, or a stroke's signs: sudden numbness or weakness, slurred speech, lost sight or a sudden, severe headache | Tell you to call 999, even if it has passed, if it was in the last day, and to get an urgent GP appointment if it was longer ago. |
| Signs of heatstroke after exercise in the heat | Tell you to call 999. |
| A knock to the head, or a faint at rest | Tell you to call 999, go to A&E, call 111 or see your GP by the NHS's own lists, and never send a knock to the head to a physiotherapist. |
| An injury, or lasting pain in a muscle, tendon, joint or bone | Give no diagnosis and no exercises to treat it: a GP or physiotherapist, or 999, A&E or 111 for the danger signs the NHS gives. |
These are instructions to an AI, not a guarantee, so check anything that matters. It is also told never to claim it has changed something in the app.
If you're not okay, it is told to stop being a fitness app
Say you want to hurt yourself and the coach is told to leave food and training out of its reply and give you Samaritans, free on 116 123 at any hour; Shout, by texting SHOUT to 85258; 111 in England, Scotland or Wales; and 999 if you are in danger. Describe restricting, purging or exercising to punish yourself and it is told to give Beat's eating disorder helplines, Samaritans outside Beat's hours, and your GP.
| Who | How | When |
|---|---|---|
| Samaritans | Call 116 123 | Free, any time, from any UK phone |
| Shout | Text SHOUT to 85258 | Free, any time |
| NHS 111 | Call 111 | Urgent mental health help in England, Scotland or Wales |
| In danger now | Call 999 | If you or someone else is in immediate danger |
| Beat, for eating | Call 0808 801 0677 in England | Free, 3pm to 8pm on weekdays |
Beat has its own lines for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The coach is told to give them too, and all four, with every number above, are in Settings → Support, under “Need help now?”
When a message uses one of the phrases the app listens for, such as “hurt myself” or “make myself sick”, the app itself shows the right ones on a Talk to someone now card of buttons that call or text, whatever the reply says. With no messages left or no subscription, a message like that still gets the helplines. They are UK numbers, because the app is UK only for now.

What it does
What can an AI fitness coach do?
Answer questions about your own numbers, and take you to the screen to act on them. Ask what to eat with what is left today, how your week went, or for a routine at weights you lift, and it answers from your logs, often with buttons that open the right screen. Every change is yours to make.
The buttons under its answers, and what each one opens
| Button | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Log dinner | The log sheet, on that meal. |
| A food, with Add to dinner | The food's page, to choose a portion and add it. |
| Start a workout, or Record a run or walk | Train's workouts, or Run's Record page. |
| Start Push Day, or another saved routine | That routine, which starts when you tap it. |
| Save “Upper A” as a routine | The routine builder, filled in for you to check and save. |
| An exercise | How to do it, and your history with it. |
| A run or walk on a date | That activity's page, with its map, pace (speed on a walk) and splits if Health AI recorded it. |
| A page, such as Trends | That page. |
Up to three suggestions under an answer, though a day with more than one run or walk gets a button for each. It is told to add them only where there is something to do. Nothing is logged or changed until you do it.
Ask it for a routine: usually three to eight exercises, for you to check
Ask for a routine and it is told to write one out, a line for each exercise with its sets and reps, and it can add a button that opens the routine builder with it filled in. It is told to put in weights only where your workouts or routines show what you lift; an exercise the app's library doesn't have is left out, and the button says so. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.
It can talk a running plan through too, but nothing in the app schedules runs or times intervals. Your sets go in the workout tracker.

Three kinds of question it is built to answer
| Kind of question | For example | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| How the app works | Where do I change my calorie target? | The way there, such as Nutrition → Settings. |
| Your own data | Why has my weight stalled? | An answer from your logs. Until food is logged on 30 of the last 31 days, it is told to say a month is needed first. |
| Training and food | How many sets should I do? | Plain, general guidance, in a few sentences. |
It reads what the rest of the app records: the macro tracker counts your food, and Train and Run keep your workouts and runs. See everything Health AI does.
The coach, a personal trainer or a chatbot: what each knows about you
| What you need | Health AI's coach | A personal trainer | A general chatbot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your food, workouts and runs | Your last 30 days, from the app | What you tell or show them | What you paste in |
| Watching you train | No | In person | No |
| Cost | £9.99 a month, with the whole app | Usually by the session | Free or paid |
For an injury, pain or a health condition, see a professional.
What £9.99 a month includes, and how messages are counted
| What you get | 3 free days | £9.99 a month | If you stop paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Messages to the coach | 50 | 300 a month | No |
| Meal and label scans | 30 | 200 a month | No |
| Barcodes, search and logging by hand | Yes | Yes | Yes |
The month counts from the day you pay, not the 1st, and unused messages don't roll over. A question can be up to 300 characters, as text: no photos or voice notes.
One question, start to finish
A question about dinner, as the coach answers it.
Follow one question from asking it to your diary

Questions
AI fitness coach questions, answered.
Is there a free AI fitness app?
Some are free, with limits or adverts. Health AI is three days free with 50 coach messages, then £9.99 a month with 300, and no adverts. Stop paying and logging keeps working; the coach stops.
Can an AI coach replace a personal trainer?
No. It answers from your logs at any hour, but it can't see you, check your form or examine an injury, and it can be wrong. For pain, an injury or a health condition, see a professional.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Each question goes with a summary of your last 30 days, without your name or email, and neither Anthropic nor Google may train its models on it.
Can the AI coach write me a workout plan?
It can write a routine, usually three to eight exercises, for you to check and save, and it is told to take weights only from your logs. It can talk a running plan through, but nothing in the app schedules runs.
How do I cancel the free trial?
In your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the three days end and you pay nothing.
Does the coach work without signal?
No, it needs a connection. Your diary, workouts and runs don't: they are saved to your phone first.
Coming to the App Store in the UK, for iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Screens show sample data.
Ask, and it answers from your logs.
