The same answers the app gives, under Settings → Help.
Where do my calorie and macro targets come from?
From your height, weight, age, sex and activity level, using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula to estimate what you burn at rest, scaled for how often you train, then adjusted for the weekly pace you picked. Change any of those in Profile & Body Stats and the targets move with them.
What happens when I log a new weight?
Your targets recalculate for your new bodyweight, so the pace you chose still actually happens. Train's Progress tab charts the weigh-ins, and Home shows how far you are from your goal weight.
Does it work without signal?
Mostly. Everything you log is written to the phone first, so your diary, your history, your routines and logging a food you have saved before all work with no connection at all — and runs record by GPS, which needs none either. What does need the internet is anything that has to go and ask: searching the food database, scanning a barcode or a meal, the map drawing itself, and asking Health AI a question. Your run is still recorded while the map is blank. Anything logged offline is copied to your account the next time you open the app with a connection.
Are my runs accurate?
They use your phone's GPS. Expect a little drift under trees, between tall buildings, or in the first few seconds before the fix settles. Fixes that imply an impossible speed are discarded rather than added to your distance.
Why do calories from a run not change my food budget?
Because the app's own estimate is a guess. Only measured active calories from Apple Health can widen your budget, and only if you turned that on. Counting both would credit the same run twice.
What can Health AI see when I ask it something?
A summary of your recent logs — your targets, what you've eaten, your workouts, your runs and walks, your weight trend, and your sleep if your phone or watch records it — so it can answer about you rather than in general. Sleep is the only part it did not get from you typing it in. It can't see anything else, and nothing outside this app.
Is Health AI a doctor or a dietitian?
No. It's a coach built on general guidance, and it can be wrong. Anything medical — an injury, a condition, a medication, an eating disorder — is for a professional, not an app.
How do I get my data out?
All three sections export, each from its own Settings tab. Runs go out as GPX, which Strava, Garmin and Komoot all import. Food and workouts go out as JSON.
What happens to my data if I get a new phone?
If you are signed in, your food, workouts, runs, weigh-ins and water are copied to your account, so signing in on the new phone brings them back. Saved foods, routines, custom exercises and your coach conversation are not copied — those stay on the phone they were made on. If you are not signed in, nothing is copied anywhere and the data goes with the old phone.
What does deleting my account remove?
Your account and everything stored against it on our server, including the synced copies of your logs. Everything held on this phone is wiped at the same time.
